Julia Klein

 

Jan Redford  was raised in Yukon, NWT, and the Ottawa Valley and now lives in Squamish, BC where she mountain bikes, trail runs, climbs, and skis. Her stories, articles, and personal essays have been published in The Globe and Mail, The National Post, Mountain Life, Explore, anthologies including Rock, Paper, Fire: Best of Mountain and Wilderness Writing, and have won several writing contests. She holds a master’s of creative writing from UBC. Her memoir: End of the Rope: Mountains, Marriage, and Motherhood (Random House Canada and Counterpoint Press, U.S.) is the story of her struggle to make her own way in the mountains and in life. To lead, not follow.  Jan Redford is a past participant of Banff Centre’s Mountain and Wilderness Writing Program.
